NB: This relaxing day will be needed for the exertion that Gorilla tracking will extol on your bodies, for which a high standard of physical fitness is essential.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is reached through a long drive, and is home to over half the world's population of Mountain gorillas.

Uganda’s newest national park offers dramatic scenery and is incredibly dense, criss-crossed by animal tracks that allow access to tourists. Although the tracking exercise is very strenuous, the experience of viewing the gorillas in their natural habitat will be long savoured (although a maximum of 45 minutes is permitted to view these gentle creatures). Other primates are also abundant, including blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and the great blue turacos are there for the bird watchers among you to marvel over.

Overnight stays will be spent in Buhoma homestead, which is just 300 metres from the forest edge, clean and authentically African. |
